Weekly Assorted Links

I’m frantically trying to hammer out Mister Shape’s ‘Entrepreneur of the Month’ interview, so please excuse me for making this post short and sweet – nevertheless, enjoy the links!

  • I believe that I have figured out how Chris maintains 30 blogs and a company – he has pure coffee running through his veins! If Brainfuel wasn’t enough, check out his Arizona-Coffee blog – it’s buzzing & even has a sponsor!
  • After reading this article about Dave Givens’s daily commute, my 20 mile round trip commute to work sounds like a dream come true.

Sincerely,
The Closet Entrepreneur

  1. The “How you treat a waiter test” is a great one to apply to dating a person too; it really says alot about someone. I’ve known about it for years – our church does it when they are looking to hire people too.

Wow, so your church uses the waiter test too. I wonder what other tests could be of use when hiring someone. I’ve always wanted to do some experiments to see if there is a correlation between certain skills/personality traits and the cleanliness of your car, the care you take when folding origami, how you perform a boring task, et cetera.

A friend of mine once had the idea of creating a dating service that based matchmaking on the way they treated & took care of their car.

  3. Single White Male age 26 Looking for Hot Chick that diggs a guy with a 9 year old car that has been washed 4 times this year and has a collection of plastic cups on the floor.

Like never go to a doctor that can’t keep his plants alive…

  5. That YouTube article was good. Thanks for that link.

The other test you can apply: when you walk into a barber shop get your hair cut by the guy with the worst haircut.

It’s funny because I’ve actually come across aerobics instructors who appear as if they’ve never dieted in their life. It must be pretty hard to market yourself as a fitness instructor when fitness doesn’t appear to be a part of your daily routine. Or how about personal trainers that take a smoking break – that might tell a lot about their personal traits and values.

Chris – Hey, I came across a SWF in her mid-20’s with a 5 year old car that has only been washed 4 times! I was about to tell her about you, that is until I found out that she litters, has 2 strikes on her license, and her emergency tire was flat.
