In my experience, those companies that are willing to invest during a period of mild to moderate downturn and to live on less (and live within their means) are the companies that survive and come out much stronger, and with a more well positioned place in the market when times are good again. 

That being said, I&#039;m not sure if the same holds true for a prolonged downturn or a deep and severe contraction. Sometimes, it simply is best to conserve resources.</description>
